The proper way to smoke a cigar is to take a puff every minute or so. This will keep the cigar lit and smoking nicely. It’s not a race. It’s a leisurely and relaxing event. Depending on the size of the cigar, it could keep burning for 30 minutes to 2 hours.
The length and the ring gauge have some bearing on the length of time a cigar will burn…and of course how you smoke it. The length has the most direct impact on burn time. Like a “Super Coloso” from Exactus. It measures a whopping 11 x 90. That’s 11 inches long!! This could be an “all day” smoke.
A typical Churchill cigar measures 7 x 50. This is a 7 inch cigar and should last a good hour or possibly 90 minutes.
